The 11th Northern Wave International Film Festival will be celebrated with a bang on the weekend of the 26th-28th of October in The Freezer hostel and theatre in Snæfellsbær. Preparations for the festival started at the beginning of the year and our audience can expect a very ambitious program for this years edition. We recommend reserving accommodation in Snæfellsbær as soon as possible.

Our international preselection committee has been hard at work viewing every film submitted. This years festival received over 250 international submissions and roughly 50 Icelandic film submissions.  We are excited to announce that the preselection has now been published on our website. The selection consist of 32 International short films , 23 Icelandic short films and 15 Icelandic music videos.

The Icelandic music video selection is done in collaboration with  Albumm.is and will be made public soon.
